DEC was founded in 1999 by Tarchenko family: Natalia Tarchenko, Oleksandr Tarchenko, Andrey Tarchenko and remains a family business, being a proud member of Family Business Network (FBN).

DEC promotional activities 2023-2024
According to UN data as of August 2023:
- the number of Ukrainians who left Ukraine is 8.8+ million people;
- the number of Ukrainians who still remain abroad is about 6.2 million people.
The public schools have an average utilization rate of approximately 65-70%, as per findings by UNICEF. In the case of private schools, the rate stands at 20-25%, according to data gathered from our affiliated private institutions. These statistics underscore that a significant portion of financially capable families continue to reside overseas, seeking educational alternatives beyond the country's borders. Furthermore, even among the families who have chosen to stay in Ukraine, the predominant aspiration is to ensure the safety of their children and explore avenues for sending them to study abroad.
We can already see that 22/23 academic year was a record for Ukraine regarding the number of applications to study abroad. Moreover, there was a large number of families who assumed that they would be able to return in Ukraine in 2023 and continue their studies here in Ukraine in 23/24/25 academic year but the situation stays complicated so they are only now starting to look for solutions in the west.
As we delve into the first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, we anticipate a surge in demand for international education.
In light of the aforementioned circumstances, we have dedicated substantial efforts toward identifying optimal solutions for our Partners throughout the 2023-2024 season.
We extend a cordial invitation to participate in our DEC weekend fair in Vienna, Austria! After a series of virtual events, we are excited to revert to an in-person format, allowing us to engage with you face-to-face.
Notably, Austria is currently home to a substantial Ukrainian families, totaling approximately 100,000 individuals, many of whom exhibit a noteworthy interest in educational offerings. A significant proportion of this group comprises kids aged 15 to 17, constituting 24% of the entire Ukrainian community in Austria. This, therefore, positions our fair as an exceptional opportunity for you to establish connections with potential students and bolster your business prospects.
